Overview The Senior Business Systems Analyst Partners with business customers and software development team in the design, development, and enhancement of software applications. The position will be responsible for delivering quality software applications to business customers by understanding product strategy, customer needs, developing detailed business requirements and supporting application development and deployment. Leads and/or participates in critical phases of software development lifecycle and is responsible for design, testing, training, implementing and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Develops detailed requirement specifications, designs web-based and mobile user interfaces, workflow and documentation. Leads the development of new or enhancements of existing software products utilizing facilitation skills, interviews, business and market research to develop detail requirements. Acts as a liaison between business users and software development team. Acts as the Scrum Master for projects assigned. Leads the planning and execution of Agile teams. Responsible for the definition, documentation, and execution of strategy, plans, and test cases for system, integration, and user acceptance testing. Conducts root cause analysis of problems and identifies, analyzes, documents, and helps facilitate the correction of defects in the software at any point in the product lifecycle. Works with the application manager and Agile teams to analyze gaps between current application and the desired state, evaluating and implementing improvements to software products. Supports the lead with project planning, tracking, status reporting; issue management / escalation / resolution and change control. Works with the manager to support application launch and rollout activities. Assists with the development of user manuals and training, conducts internal communication of planned changes for customer support, marketing, and other internal stakeholders. Contributes to the establishment of, and compliance with the software development methodology, standards, procedures, practices and goals. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in computer information systems, Business or equivalent. 5
years of experience in business and systems analysis in a software product development environment, including understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Demonstrated strength in requirements analysis and use case development Ability to analyze business systems to identify user needs, document requirements, and address operation/process issues/improvements to accomplish business objectives. Experience and knowledge of manual testing including creating a implementation document, test strategy, coordinating testing with end user's Ability to understand concepts governing relational database structures, use reporting/query tools, and construct SQL statements. Exhibits strong problem solving and facilitation skills. Strong customer service orientation for both internal and external customers. Excellent influencing and consultative skills, including the ability to get results through others without having direct reports. Uses business knowledge and technical expertise to identify and analyze problems and assess potential issues to improve products in a timely manner. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Works independently under minimal supervision and according to established procedures and policies. High energy, strong work ethic, critical thinking, quick learner and team player.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
