This individual would be working in our billing call center and is responsible for answering and resolving any billing questions or issues related to the patient's account.
The Ideal candidate is a quick-learner with medical billing experience who can work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
Answer and resolve any questions or issues relating to the patient account, including explaining insurance benefits to the patient or authorized third-party callers Assist patients with terms for repayment structures as well as negotiate any overdue balance to recover payment from patients Collect payments from patients for processing Process and manage medical billing claims Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility Miscellaneous projects that include the use of spreadsheets and word templates Perform other duties as assigned by the payment center manager Reports as directed to the payment center manager
Qualifications:
Medical Billing experience - 3-5 years Excellent Customer Service Skills with 2-5 years of patient-facing duties Preference is given to Spanish speaking Epic experience strongly preferred Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel) Understand the terminology and principles of full life Medical Insurance Claims, including insurance eligibility and verification, medical insurance claims, EOB, denial management, and appeals Experience in the use of insurance web portals and IVR Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Proficient in computer software and technology Proven analytical and problem-solving skills High time management and organizational skills Job Type:
