Summary:
As a Director of Software Engineering, you will be leading a diverse team of technologists, all working towards the common goal of ensuring the customer is at the center of everything we do. This is an exciting role to be part of a cross-functioning team committed to delivering innovative solutions to complex problems. You will be managing full-stack software engineers on a fast-paced team building and running systems that are customer-first, leveraging modern technologies, cutting edge design, and integrations across the entire software stack. You will have an opportunity to impact every part of the system, foster and cultivate your curiosity and fill a critical role enabling the team to focus on delivering amazing technology and customer solutions. You will establish and implement product management processes and methodologies to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget and scope, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations. Regularly creates a service improvement plan - in terms of people, processes and technology - to improve a service.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Team builder and inspire a strong team to always deliver their best, with passion and commitment, following best practices Engage key partners and stakeholders on roadmap, strategy and delivery of product features. Interface with key stakeholders, technologists and senior management. Enable agile development best practices conformant to Hub Group standards Analyze, design, and drive solutions for major components and features of platform frameworks. Lead the OTM Configurations team, develop and manage project plan and resources. Pair up with your architects and tech leads to propose and drive design decisions Responsible for managing finances related to project deliverables. Manage product backlog, user expectations, and requirements scope. Unwilling to compromise the reliability, performance, and scale of technology platform Coordinate project communication with all areas of IT and business Ensure all internal controls and policies are adhered to for projects and systems change management Develop the strategic plan between the future-state and current-state of the platform and work with others in the IT ecosystem to develop roadmaps for the orderly transition to the future state over time. Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field 10-12 years of OTM experience, including implementation of multiple Oracle Transportation Management solutions within the last 5 years with at least one implementation being on a version higher than OTM 6.0. Good understanding of Logistics, Transportation and Supply chain business. 6
years managing full-time or offshore engineers 6
years of work experience with Agile methodologies 8-10 years of configuration skills within the OTM product. 8-10 years of working knowledge of SQL on Oracle or another RDBMS. Experience with monitoring and alerting best practices, leveraging industry standard tools Experience leading internal and external development resources Ability to analyze, design, and document systems Proficient in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects Goal driven, highly motivated, with a desire to take the lead Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills Comfortable working with all levels of corporate personnel Recommended Skills Agile Methodology Analytical Business Administration Change Management Finance Hardworking And Dedicated Apply to this job.
