This is a 12-month position that will provide critical support in Human Resources, Business Office functions, and Student Records.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our district by handling a variety of tasks, from onboarding new hires to managing student records.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources & Personnel:
Assist with continuing education enrollment for staff.
Maintain personnel records, files, and manuals.
Complete HR reports as mandated by federal, state, and local agencies.
Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting information and processing required forms.
Prepare employee files and communicate new hire information to relevant departments.
Track staff evaluations and upload them into the ISBE system.
Prepare and distribute vacancy announcements.
Coordinate staff recognition and retirement events.
Prepare FMLA letters and ensure compliance with labor mandates.
Business Office:
Process and manage purchase orders, including vendor communication and reconciliation.
Assist with Amazon orders and ensure proper approval for payment.
Manage check payments and related paperwork for vendors.
Reconcile credit card statements.
Open and sort mail for the Business Office.
Coordinate benefits administration, including health insurance.
Student Records & Registration:
Manage student permanent, temporary, and special education files.
Assist with student registration processes.
Complete yearly reports for ISBE.
Preferred
Qualifications:
HR compliance knowledge:
On-boarding, filing system, employee morale Technology and Reporting:
Skyward, Frontline, ISBE/IWAS, TRS Reporting Administrative experience in a school setting, or similar environment preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in common technology suites, and aptitude to learn platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive and professional demeanor.

Competitive salary of $50,000 - $60,000 per year; Hourly - Non-exempt.
