Staff Auditor: $6.5B SEC Specialty Manufacturing Company--Oak Brook, IL (near western burbs)
Newly created position reporting to our Mgr Audit. We just hired a Senior so looking for a 1-3 year person who wants to do Audit. CPA a plus. Travel up to 30% depending on projects - this is an opportunity to work on global projects, highly prefer BIG 4/F500 experience
Salary $65,300 - $80K, Bonus target 3% Max of 6%, will stretch on comp

Audit Procedures/Programs - Assist in audit planning and audit program development. Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting business processes and procedures.
Controls Evaluation - Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of accounting and management controls to ensure that valid, properly authorized transactions are completely and accurately processed.
Work Papers - Prepare audit work papers and flowcharts in order to document and support audit findings and conclusions.
Process Improvement - Assist in the identification of improvement opportunities and development of action plans.
Risk Assessment - Assist in identifying and evaluating the organization's risk areas and provide input to the development of the Audit Plan.

2-3 years of audit experience in public accounting and/or internal audit with a proven track record of accomplishments.
Prefer candidate who holds professional certification(s) or is close to completion of at least one of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Prior experience working in a Finance/Accounting Department and/or for a public accounting firm is required. Previous Internal Audit experience is desired. Additionally, strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting is required.
Fluent in English, Spanish a plus.
Ability to travel 30% of the time. Able and willing to travel internationally at least twice per year.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
