Magenium Solutions is in search of a Cisco VOIP Engineer for a Full Time Permanent opportunity for a client located in Oak Brook.
Summary:
The Cisco Collaboration Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the secure, stable, and optimal operation of our customer's IP/SIP telephony and network infrastructure. The engineer will also be responsible for the engineering, installation and support of the enterprise multi-point video infrastructure.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
This position serves as the subject matter expert and is responsible for all aspects of IP-based telephone systems for the enterprise voice network
Act as the subject matter expert for all aspects of the enterprise IP-based video systems.
Provide strategic technical direction, roadmap design, installation, and configuration of all IP-based PBX telephone systems/services and video systems/services
Provide day-to-day support, proactive maintenance, and perform independent complex system troubleshooting
Practice telephony asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
Identify capacity and performance issues to ensure uninterrupted service
Assist in the operational, strategic planning, and business continuity / disaster recovery solutions
On-call rotation/After Hours support is required, and schedule changes may occur as needed

Qualifications:

years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing enterprise-class VoIP and TDM-based voice networks
Hands-on experience with voice and data products including Cisco Unified Communications Manager / Call Manager, Cisco Voice Gateways, Cisco Unified Border Elements (CUBEs), and Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) functionality, VoIP troubleshooting tools, Cisco Routers and Cisco Switches
Hands-on experience with Cisco Unity Connection and single inbox integration to Microsoft Exchange
Hands-on experience with Cisco Contact Center Express with knowledge of scripting call flows and agent desktop troubleshooting and configuration
Understanding of enterprise video applications across an MPLS network and integrated into internet. This includes point to point and multipoint deployments with cloud and on-premises solutions.
Understanding of Voice/VoIP service provisioning methods, service delivery, SLA metrics, and procedures

years of experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting large enterprise MPLS converged (voice, video & data) networks
7
years of demonstrated ability supporting complex voice, video and data converged networks
Experience implementing QoS/CoS policies and priority queuing - WAN & LAN
Understanding of VOIP protocols and Codecs SIP, RTP, T.38 G.711 G.729.a, H.323, MGCP and H.320 video
Understanding of enterprise architectures, routing, and transport protocols
IPSLA & Netflow monitoring/management
NICE Call Recording experience a is a plus

Education and/or
Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Certifications a plus (CCNA, CCNA-Voice, CCNP-Voice, etc.)
CCNP-Voice preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
