Global Fortune 100 Enterprise Firm seeks a Functional Oracle Financials Architect. The Oracle Financials candidate will be responsible for the translation of business requirements and solution designs into specific application configurations and specifications within the Oracle E-business Suite (EBS).
The Oracle Application Architect has experience in the understanding, configuration, & use of related Oracle E-business Suite modules. They will maintain alignment to the solution design by minimizing software customizations while providing configurations that will enable a streamlined business process.
This person must be a highly organized, self starter who thrives in a fast-paced, complex, global environment; & have proven measurable experience with all aspects of a major system development.
Principal Accountabilities
Participates in requirements gathering sessions & developing appropriate documents as a part of the Software Development Life Cycle (Business & Functional design, Use Case & Process diagrams, Test Cases etc.). Participates in Gap Fit analysis, proposal of recommendations, & conduct independent architecture reviews (core functionality, enhancement, etc.) Facilitate communication between Functional areas and IT, including developers to ensure that customer requirements are translated to design specifications Creates functional designs & participates in the approval of technical designs Oracle set-up and configurations in test/production environments Apply knowledge and experience to recommend solutions to business problems and participates in process improvement activities and metrics May be engaged in support activities such as performing root cause analysis; day to day production support and functional analysis of the issues; Following defined processes for ticket, patch, releases and change management; serve as functional lead for enhancement projects Effectively influences others to ensure levels of quality and timelines are met during the service improvement and delivery process Responsible for performing Unit testing, Regression testing, SIT, Coordinating UAT Solid communication, presentation, analytical & problem solving skills required. Up to 20% travel as required (domestic & international).
Minimum requirements for position:
B.S. in Information Systems or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience with 3
years of experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Financials (recent R12 experience required) Experience in the full life cycle of large scale Oracle implementations. 2
years Oracle Application configuration & set-up experience with various modules Demonstrated track record of the successful implementation & upgrade of major financial ERP projects. Ability to understand & analyze complex financial concepts & processes. Working experience in complex finance support/operational environments in various aspects of design, analysis, testing and ongoing support for their Oracle Applications Proven Communication skills with the ability to build strong partnership with business clients & technology teams to deliver solutions (eg written, verbal, presentation skills). Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, strong ability to translate technical verbiage into easily understandable language for non-technical audiences. Solid technical knowledge, as well as competences in areas including infrastructure, data models, requirements analysis, service orientation; good understanding of enterprise, business process, & application architecture. Ability to analyze change requests to determine feasibility in relation to existing business requirements, processes, & data models. Experience creating test strategy & test plan documents as well as executing tests with attention to details. Strong abilities to quickly understand customization already developed and debug existing code Experience in PL/SQL preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
