System Engineer
Job Description The Sr.
Systems Engineer plays a significant role within the IT organization.
The IT organization works within a fast-paced environment to provide real-time project level support and support for system issues at multiple sites.
This is a key position which requires the skills of an architect and systems administrator as well as the patience and tact of a good customer service representative.
This position requires collaboration with teammates, other business units and IT management.
Must have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
Responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing client and server architecture to include hardware platforms, client applications, server services, operating systems, storage networks, and network equipment as it applies to enterprise infrastructure.
Evaluates tests, recommends and deploys new/upgraded hardware, OS, network, and infrastructure applications, integrating with existing system configurations.
Analyzes current enterprise and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning and design issues.
Provides system architecture strategy and roadmaps for client/server implementations of various Microsoft, Linux, and VMware based solutions.
Enforces Windows server administration standards, policies and guidelines and develop and implement them as the needs are identified and prioritized.
Enforces Linux server administration standards, policies and guidelines and develop and implement them as the needs are identified and prioritized.
Provides 2 nd /3 rd tier support for server design, infrastructure, and associated IT services for the entire company.
Skill Summary &
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory with 5 7 years of working experience Detailed knowledge in Windows client and server architecture with at least 7 years of working experience (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 - Windows 7/Windows 10) Detailed knowledge of the VMWare vCenter application and VMWare ESXi architecture Experience managing enterprise infrastructure hardware HP Servers and storage, EMC Storage, Nimble Storage.
3 5 years of administration experience of Linux based servers, RedHat Enterprise a plus.
3 5 years of scripting experience PowerShell 5
years Windows architecture experience in a multi-site company Broad understanding of all major Windows Infrastructure components Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2016.
Microsoft SQL 2005 / 2008 / 2012.

years administration of Microsoft SharePoint Server.
Experience managing a Citrix XenApp 6.
0 Farm Experience managing Veeam Enterprise backup solutions a plus.
Cisco VOIP experience is a strong plus.
RCSA (Redhat Certified System Administrator) certification a strong plus.
Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE, MCITP:
SA, MCITP:
EA are pluses.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
